HIV ½ ANTIBODY REACTIVE Reactive A REACTIVE result is a PRELIMINARY POSITIVE for HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 antibodies. The specimen will be sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories for confirmatory testing.
ANTIGEN (HIV-1 p24) REACTIVE Reactive A REACTIVE result is a PRELIMINARY POSITIVE for HIV-1 p24 antigen. When p24 antigen is detected without HIV-1 or HIV-2 antibodies, it may indicate an acute HIV-1 infection. The specimen will be sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories for confirmatory testing.
